Somethin for my OMies

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change." - Charles Darwin

"You try to plant something in the concrete, y'know what I mean? If it grow, and the rose petal got all kind of scratches and marks, you not gonna say, ‘Damn, look at all the scratches and marks on the rose that grew from concrete’; you gonna be like, ‘Damn! A rose grew from the concrete?!’"
- Tupac Shakur

Sup my down dogs and doggettes!

Just a quick note to let you know that I’ll be starting my Ashtanga class at Yoga & Pilates NE tomorrow; it’s at Alberta and MLK and your first class there is free. Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is an athletic style that I’ll be taking it back to its ancient roots by (as usual) using the poses to foster a sense of playful curiosity, irreverently annihilating some of the “sacred cows” of the practice while helping students burn off excess energy so they can leave refreshed, relaxed, and deeply connected. Class is Fridays from 7-8:15pm and suitable for all levels of practice.

11/11/11 is proving to be an exciting day for me as my website should also be up tomorrow – check out if you’d like to know more about my work with juvenile detention centers, jails, and at-risk populations, and to take a look at my teaching schedule.

This week also marked the beginning of Morning Detox Flow at the Yoga Lab, 3807 SE Belmont, on Tues and Thurs 8-9:15am. Roll out of bed and stumble into this gentle-yet-invigorating kundalini and hatha-inspired flow and you'll forget you’ve ever been tired! Prana-Pumping, Cell-Nourishing, Toxin-Releasing; using the most effective and untamed ancient wisdoms this class’ll help you be who you were meant to be! One student wrote me: “Walking out of class I felt like I could take on the world, and all day people kept commenting on how energized I seemed!”

w/ 40 oz. of Love,
